Kate Andrew

Kate hails from South Africa, but undertook her undergraduate studies in Engineering at the University of Canterbury, in Christchurch in the south island of NZ. She moved upto Massey to take up a PhD position that our group is undertaking with Dr Ebu Avci in the engineering department, looking at optical nanomachines. More specifically she is attempting to construct functional nano-levers that can be used in single molecule experiments. Currently she is visiting Delft in the Netherlands to use a Nanoscribe two-photon polymerisation instrument.
