Biophysics Resources for Research: Biophysical Reviews

biophysical-reviews-cover

Biophysical Reviews covers the entire field of biophysics, generally defined as the science of describing and defining biological phenomenon using the concepts and the techniques of physics. This includes but is not limited by such areas as bioinformatics, biophysical methods and instrumentation, medical biophysics, biosystems, cell biophysics and organisation, macromolecules: dynamics, structures and interactions, and membrane biophysics, channels and transportation.

MESA Bootcamp;-)

Bill paid a brief but lovely visit to Kaikoura last month to be part of a MESA workshop focussing (no pun intended) on light……and enjoyed the talks on Open Science, Outreach, Spectroscopy and Entertainment-Based OT Schemes……….Do you sell contact lenses?

The optometrist — a great place for biophysics

Look in to my eyes… beautiful photographs taken at the optometrist.

Up The Mohaka!

As the sun started shining in NZ some of the group took the chance to take a trip together up the beautiful Mohaka river:-)

PGP Workshop

The PGP Workshop went well, with Rob and Sapna’s project getting positive reviews 😉 not to mention the sheep-herding and axe-throwing activities at Makoura lodge and the intense after-dinner which-biopolymer-is-best debate. “Alginate???…Are you taking the piss?”

Doctor Doctor !

Well done Dr Marj;-)! Marjorie successfully defended her thesis last week on “Developing a Dual Trap Optical Tweezers Method to Measure Interactions Between a Pair of Oil Drops“. Was great to see her back in NZ again; and finally see her get her just rewards! Enjoyed working with you Marj – so long and thanks for […]
