A post about Pablo also has a German flavour;-) Pablo attended a cool soft matter conference in Germany, presenting a poster on his graph analysis of networks,
Then he went onto Leipzig to visit David Smith’s group who have been doing some cool stuff making “polymers” of designed stiffness using DNA asssemblies;-)

I can’t find any pictures of Pablo without leather-clad ladies or drug paraphernalia featuring heavily…so here are some cool pics of assembled polymers from David’s work…
Well done Dr Marj;-)! Marjorie successfully defended her thesis last week on “Developing a Dual Trap Optical Tweezers Method to Measure Interactions Between a Pair of Oil Drops“. Was great to see her back in NZ again; and finally see her get her just rewards! Enjoyed working with you Marj – so long and thanks for all the….Impossible gear!…..Marjorie has a cool job in San Francisco and is saving the planet one burger at a time….
Welcome home to Jess, who has been spending a few months in Cambridge getting to grips with using AFM for mapping mechanical properties, while finding geocaches and sampling local treats such as YumYums and strange and hungry insects….. 😉 Nice work Jess!
