Doctor Doctor !

Well Done to Chris Lepper who has come along way since this 2008 photograph to successfully defend his PhD thesis which deals with the effects of pressure on nucleotides and RNA oligomers. Along the way Chris has constructed several Cornflour Pits and a Trebuchet or two 😉 Well done Chris!

Auf Wiedersehen !

Farewell to Katharina 😉 It’s been cool having Katharina Meyer around doing her Internship, now Hurricane is returning to Germany to complete her studies. Here we are saying farewell with Lily’s patented dumplings recipe ;-), and here is Katharina on the top of Mt Ngauruhoe modelling her farewell hat !

Doctor Doctor!

Well done Dr Brad;-) Dude, you have come a long way! I’ve enjoyed every minute of it – too many stories to mention. I hope you had the time of your life…and that you manage to keep playing with gloopy goo-ey stuff and shining on….

People’s Choice

Jessie was awarded the People’s Choice Award at the recent IFS Postgraduate Seminar for her PechaKucha style talk “Jelly, Quakes and Speckles”. Well done Jessie! Jess is of to Cambridge next week to work in Siobhan Braybrook’s Group Plant Mechanics Group for a few months….Jealous!
