FB_IMG_1447126803227Well done Dr Marj;-)! Marjorie successfully defended her thesis last week on “Developing a Dual Trap Optical Tweezers Method to Measure Interactions Between a Pair of Oil Drops“. Was great to see her back in NZ again; and finally see her get her just rewards! Enjoyed working with you Marj – so long and thanks for all the….Impossible gear!…..Marjorie has a cool job in San Francisco and is saving the planet one burger at a time….

People’s Choice

            Jessie was awarded the People’s Choice Award at the recent IFS Postgraduate Seminar for her PechaKucha style talk “Jelly, Quakes and Speckles”. Well done Jessie! Jess is of to Cambridge next week to work in Siobhan Braybrook’s Group Plant Mechanics Group for a few months….Jealous!

Farewell & Good Luck!

Conference trip: IUPAB in Brisbane

Amazing trip to Brisbane to attend the IUPAB 2014. Here there are a tiny sample of our adventures at Brisbane and also some more from the following trip, back in NZ, to Tongariro and the lakes near Taupo. We enjoyed the company of Jiří , a visiting czech proffesor and exceptional mussel cooker!
