It was awesome to catch up with the World-Self-Help-Pectin-Addiction-Group at Pacifichem,… do I need to say with two days solid of pectin talks that I loved it??? Jess did a great job of presenting her PME-HG simulations, and was great to hear the latest from our pectin BFFs ….sweet 😉
A post about Pablo also has a German flavour;-) Pablo attended a cool soft matter conference in Germany, presenting a poster on his graph analysis of networks,
Then he went onto Leipzig to visit David Smith’s group who have been doing some cool stuff making “polymers” of designed stiffness using DNA asssemblies;-)
I can’t find any pictures of Pablo without leather-clad ladies or drug paraphernalia featuring heavily…so here are some cool pics of assembled polymers from David’s work…
Farewell to Katharina 😉
It’s been cool having Katharina Meyer around doing her Internship, now Hurricane is returning to Germany to complete her studies. Here we are saying farewell with Lily’s patented dumplings recipe ;-), and here is Katharina on the top of Mt Ngauruhoe modelling her farewell hat !
Well done Dr Marj;-)! Marjorie successfully defended her thesis last week on “Developing a Dual Trap Optical Tweezers Method to Measure Interactions Between a Pair of Oil Drops“.
